Golden Goodness

I just recently loaded this to my Ipod and I'm finding it harder and harder not to break out into the chorus in the middle of work. Check out the hard ass dancing in this video. Check out the complete regularness of the video chicks. Check out the girls wearing their "real" hair. Check out the bad graphics. This, is what I call entertainment, people. Clowning aside, this song probably possesses one of the best beats of the era. When it comes on you have to take notice. Combine that with T-Ray's husky yelling and it's a wrap. Plus, the song is just hilarious.

Because I Can

Check out all of this hilarity.

1. Greg Nice doing the wop.
2. The swimsuits.
3. Kid Capri looking so young.

The list goes on. Premo is awesome and that's really all I have to say. Enjoy.

This Is It

What were you doing when this was the joint? I used to love, love, love dude in the orange hat. Thought he was the hottest thing walking. I used to play this in the Altima with the sun roof open (don't laugh), knowing I was the shit. This song is still hot right this second. Orange hat? Not so much. Sorry baby. That aside, this is a classic pure and simple. Enjoy.

Truce

I know its been a million years since I've had anything to say, but as you know I work hard for the money so most times I'm tired as hell. Sometimes too tired to even go to sleep. Regardless, I do apologize and today I want take this opportunity to send a little love out to all the ex-boyfriends. Specifically, all my ex-boyfriends. I just want to thank you all for helping me learn so much about myself. I hope you all are having a wonderful, successful life and are being treated beautifully by everyone you all deeply care about. Whether you are "single", "in a relationship" or "married", I hope you are truly, truly happy. God bless you all.

Hopefully that was convincing enough because I really tried.

But seriously, I was thinking the other day and I realized life is too short to be holding grudges against people who are probably not even thinking of you and if you're honest, you really don't think about them that much. I mean, my life is so in the upswing of greatness that I don't have time to even celebrate all the good stuff that's jumpin' off let alone whine about some old ish. People come and go, but I'm most thankful for the people who managed to stick it out and stick around. So to all homies, I want to say "I love you" and I'm so thankful that y'all are still apart of my life. Oh and remember this: the best is yet to come. Have a great pre-Thanksgiving. Later.

I Blame This

As far as I'm concerned, this video started the whole "too grown to be so young" R&B star (male category). I used to love this song though and for about 15 Good Minutes I used to really really want those Manolo Tims. Thank God I didn't give into my material desires on that one. Sometimes you gotta know when to hold 'em and fold 'em.

What's the Holdup?

Where are any of these dudes? If you see them on the street or wherever kindly point them toward the nearest studio. Consider it community service.

Special tactics should be used if you see either of these gentlemen. They must be escorted to the nearest recording device. Be it a cell phone, tape recorder or an old school answering machine. Just keep the master recording and we'll figure out the rest later.

I'm Going Back to Cali...

Naw, I don't think so. But sometimes when I remember how free and relaxed and just "me" I felt out there, I really want to go back. Currently, I can't because I lost that half of the country in the divorce. So until I can handle the possibility of running into some very interesting situations without resorting to immediate assault, it's a good idea for me to keep it to the east coast. Who knows what the future holds though? All I can say is of all the places I have ever lived that was where I felt the most home.

This is probably my favorite Brandy song besides "He Is". I love this video b/c there is nothing like driving down the Pacific Coast Highway day or night with the road winding through the hills and the ocean as the backdrop. Simply gorgeous.

God Bless America!

I had the pleasure of enjoying left over Halloween candy all day at work. The great part is that Reese's cups are second in line to being crowned the "Nectar of the Gods."
(sweet tea currently holds the title) The not so great part is b/c of all the Reese's that I ate, my morning gym visit was cancelled out. I suck. Oh well. But since we're on the subject of Reese's can anyone tell me where they get that peanut butter from? There is not a peanut butter that exists in nature that is as sweet and perfectly textured as the peanut butter found in a Reese's cup. I remember when Reese's came out with their own brand of peanut butter how absolutely devastated I was that it tasted like regular old peanut butter. That's brand loyalty and recognition right there. I am and will always be an advertiser's target market. You put it on tv and I really want it. I've been practicing self control. I'll let you know when it starts to work. I'm exhausted and don't have much to say. I've been annoyed from all angles this week and I need to take a nap, so I'm gonna make it happen. Watch this. JYR sent it to me and I. love. it. Made me want to do few more back raises so my poppin game is strengthened. Enjoy.
